Between July 5-8, 2005, I had the privilege to work
together with Dr. Daniel Diaconu and Dr. Liliana Zaharia, from the Faculty
of Geography, University of Bucharest, with undergraduate students in
Geography in the Iron Gates Natural Park. This area is simply fantastic
for Geology, Geography and Biology, offering excellent conditions for
field studies. The University of Bucharest has a field facility in Orsova,
excellently run by the Faculty of Geography, where our students in Geography,
Geology and Biology work during summer field trips.
